Sticking with building your online business…THE HARD TIMES

So it’s 11:50PM and I just got back from the hospital and my grandpa’s been diagnosed with Pneumonia…

My online business is somewhat struggling and it isn’t growing the way I’d hoped.

I’m sick and I’m running out of time and I’m running out of money to keep me surviving off of my funding…

Most people would be giving up and finding a new job right now…

I won’t..I’ve worked way too hard to give up now. I’ve spent the last 6 months in a fight to build an income through online business and I will NEVER give up on my dream to make a career out of my business…

Sometimes life doesn’t go according to plan and sometimes the going gets tough but I won’t give up on my dream for a better life.

I dream where I can travel the world and meet all of the amazing people in this industry, I want to be able to study the things I actually care about and to not be stuck inside of a job or a career for my entire life.  I love the life of flexibility and it’s something I’ll ride out till I die….literally. I’ll ride online business to the point where I become homeless…why?

Because it’s the only lifestyle I’d ever feel I’d be happy in.

Sometimes the going gets rough and sometimes we feel like giving up…

It’s time like these our why becomes important and it’s times like these that make or break us and it’s times like these that show us who we really are and what we really want in our life…

The question is…when this happens to you…when you’re on the bridge of extinction…will you fight for your career or will you roll over and let all of your hard work and all of your efforts fall through the floor? Will you give up because the life of working from home for 4 or 5 hours a day, taking vacations when we feel like it, taking days off when we feel run out, changing our businesses when we get tired of our current business…it’s times like these where we really find out.

Am I willing to give it everything I have to get a life of freedom?

I always told myself I would today is the day I’m faced with loosing everything I’ve worked to build in my life and today is the day I stepped up.

I’m going to ride my business and I WILL GROW MY ONLINE BUSINESS…this blog has just turned into a fight for survival…these next few weeks I’ll be blogging about my efforts to drive free traffic to my business’s new product sales page.

Starting Online Business: Building Your Business Plan

When I  first started looking into starting online business I quickly realized there were almost 100 different ways to make money if I wanted to work from home..

And even though all these ways to make money are exciting I felt kind of  confused where to start…

So I did my research and built a business plan or a way to make sure I didn’t get lost on my online adventure.

Building a business plan has a lot of advantages:

It gives us the tools to take our boat from the coast of California to the Caribbean…without a compass and a really good GPS system we could be in a crapload of trouble! If we don’t know where we’re going it’d take a miracle to make it out of our boat travels alive…let alone make it to our promised land.

Without a business plan your hope of building an online business that makes money turn out a fight for life so why not build a plan to help guide your boat to the Caribbean?

So here are my steps to building an online business plan:

1. Find a proven way to make money online.

2. Replicate this proven way to make money..go out and implement what you learned

3. Evaluate the results

Find a business mentor:

Trevor Poulson is an internet marketing guru who’s become my mentor and business partner…he’s been working full time in online business for 3 years so he’s teaching me the ins and outs of his ways to make money.

He’s shown me maps and ideas to build a successful online business and it’s been a life savior…

There’s nothing like getting a hands on feedback and learning from someone who’s become one of the 5% of successful online businessmen.

So go out and find an online business / internet marketing mentor then take their proven maps and implement them.

There’s two ways to do this:

1. Find an guru that’s made millions of dollars and has been great reputation inside of the online business community.

2. Find a mentor that will give you direct/hands on interaction…find someone that will guide you and show you the way to making a living from online business.

So here’s my step-by-step action plan:

1. Do your research and find a business model(a way to make money) I have a category in this blog called business models.

2. Find a proven mentor/product to use…there’s a thousand ways to make money online so why try to carve your own to start?

Find a proven strategy from a proven businessman and you have a winner…

The only thing left to do is implement.

Having Fun while Starting Own Business

alright…if you’re looking to start own business then there’s something that I feel like we all have to take into account.

Why are we starting own businesses?

Because we’re looking to improve our quality of life. We’re looking to have fun and ENJOY the way we make money.

Building and growing a business shouldn’t be work for us…it should be a hobby…connecting and meeting new people and learning new things..

starting own business is a gateway to happiness so let’s enjoy the gateway drug : )

Life isn’t about who finishes first or last…life’s about setting a goal or a destination on a road map, making plans for your road trip, then implement your ideas….then…you’re done!

So why be serious on your journey? EXPERIENCE YOUR ROAD TRIP.

go out and meet new people and see new things…have fun. don’t lock yourself in your home office becoming a tight workman…

JUST BE YOURSELF and ENJOY YOUR RIDE. Help other people, focus on growing your business and nurturing it and changing people’s live instead of making money.

The fastest way to starting an online business

In a study I recently learned from Eben Pagan a group of highly successful people were researched and interviewed…

When the researches finally put together the results of the research, they found only ONE THING IN COMMON in all these wealthy people.

They implemented FAST.

The faster you can take an idea and put it in action in real life, the faster you grow and build your online business.

In other words…when you think of an idea or learn a new concept….don’t think it over on how to best use it and the ways to fail…just go out and implement it.

I can’t remember who said this but this was a quote from a millionaire(if anyone knows who came up with this, I’d love to give them credit.)

“Everyone makes mistakes, the key in building an online business is to make your mistakes as fast as you can and to learn from them as best as you can”

That my friend is the only advice a million dollar man gave on how to start a business : 0

Pretty simple.

If you get an idea, don’t worry about not succeeding because we’re not looking to make any money our first year in business. Go and try it out…see how it works and look at what happens when you take action…look at what worked, what didn’t and what actually happened behind the scenes…then you piece it all together and use it again when the time is right.

Speed of implementation is what separates you from $1,000,000.

How fast are you going to implement your ideas? You can’t grow a business when you’re learning theory all day…people learn from actually trying things out and engaging…not from thinking about how it can and can’t work.

Implement and you’ll make money in online business….barring the 3 obstacles to success in my first set of posts.

How to SUCCEED in starting online business Pt. 3

The three obstacles stopping us from working from home with online business are:

1. Information Overload

2.  We’re not Paid for WORK

3. Impatience

Part 3: Developing Patience

This ultimately begs the question: Why is it important to develop patience to make money in online business?

Impatience could be our biggest enemy when it comes to us people.

We want results NOW and when we bust out some hard effort and we don’t see the instant results we almost always get discouraged and give up.

So we’re faced with a daunting task when we’re looking to start an online business….there’s just so many things that are important to understand and  so many tasks we have to complete.

BUT

$1,000,000 dollar men and women all have something in common:

They build their business and their wealth…a little bit at a time.

millionaires have found a secret…a golden nugget for making money…IT TAKES TIME….if you take $1 and you compound and then reinvest it week for 10 years…you end up with a lot of money…A LOT! I can’t even do the math on it but let’s just say 7+ digits is the result…

but there’s a catch to this strategy…for the first year….the amount of money being made will be almost nothing…

Successful businesses aren’t built overnight…they’re built in months and years so why are you in such a rush?

Why do you NEED to make $50,000 in 3 months? I’m gunna let you in on a little secret of mine…it’s not fun and it’s not easy to make a bunch of money online FAST…I tried this and I failed miserably….I actually ended up worse off then I was at the start of my business career…

with one lesson learned:

There is no get rich REALLY quick formula.

So:

I’M GOING TO INTRODUCE YOU TO THE GOLDEN RULE IN BUSINESS:

MONEY IS MADE BY FOCUSING ON FOCUSING ON SOLVING YOUR CUSTOMER’S PROBLEMS AND/OR OBSTACLES.

Money isn’t made in business by focusing on money…it’s made by understanding your customers as well as fundamental human psychology(something you’ll learn in business whether you know it or not)

So…like always I have a step-by-step formula to solve the plague of impatience.

Here’s my three step formula for getting over impatience:

1. Don’t plan on making money for the next year…don’t even plan on a cent! Let it go if you’re looking to  focus on build a business that makes good money.

2. Create a step-by-step plan…if it’s time for you to build a list of customers, then find a good product on list building then create a step-by-step blueprint to get some potential customers!!

3. Focus on one step at a time…not 5..not 2…1 step at a time.

How to SUCCEED in starting online business Pt. 2A

The three obstacles stopping us from working from home with online business are:

Part 2 is all about shifting your mindset from “worker” to entrepreneur….without the right mindset we’ll never succeed in business so we’ve got a few things to take care to help us along our online business journey:

1. Personal Responsibility

2. We’re ONLY PAID for the value we provide others

We’re paid for value NOT WORK.

Business is a completely different than an average career….You go to school, get an education, then you get a job to provide value to a business….the tricky thing is that you have a consistent payroll…you make the same amount if you provide $10/hour or $100/hour. The business gets rewarded for your value and you’ll never see the light of day…sure you could get promoted but once again you have a consistent payroll…even CEOs have payrolls of millions of dollars while they’re companies collapse…

Entrepreneurship is a different ballgame…

Here’s the formula for making money through online business:

Building a relationship with your customers + Providing Value to your customers + Communicating to your customers = Profits(Millionaires use this strategy over and over again)

In business, we’re not paid for putting together a product in an unprofitable niche(even if it took months to do) while at the same time selling a product in a way your customers don’t care about…

We’re paid for two things:

Results & emotions:

We have to see our customers are driven by at a deep emotional level…what problems are they genuinely having that they NEED TO BE FIXED?

Then you fix it.

And if you can communicate and market at a level of consistency there’s only one ingredient left from money…

Traffic & customers.
